
Public Hearing & Regular Board Meeting
The Board of Education of the Martins Ferry City School District, Belmont County, Ohio, will hold a public meeting on the 20th day of February 2025, for the purpose of conducting a public hearing on a proposal of the Board to convert 4.0 mills of property tax within the ten-mill limitation from a current operating expenses allocation to a permanent improvements allocation to be used to acquire, construct, renovate, improve, and/or satisfy the debt of assets, school property, buildings, and other facilities in the school district with an estimated life or usefulness of five (5) years or more, which amount of inside millage was levied for current operating expenses. The public hearing will commence at 6:00 p.m. and will be held at the Martins Ferry School District High School cafeteria, 5000 Ayers Limestone Road, Martins Ferry, OH 43935. The change proposed by the Board may result in an increase in the amount of real property taxes levied by the Board.
The Board of Education of the Martins Ferry City School District will be holding their regular board meeting immediately following the public hearing in the Martins Ferry School District High School cafeteria.
