Student Registration

 Preschool Registration
 Preschool registration begins February 3, 2025, and is done on a first-come, first-served basis. Preschool meets two full days a week, either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, and follows the MFCSD calendar.

The MFCSD preschool program is partially funded through an Early Childhood Education grant from the State of Ohio. Students whose parents meet the income requirements of the grant attend preschool free of charge. Tuition for those parents who do not meet the guidance of the grant is $900 for the school year.  This can be prorated to $100 per month, September through May.

Kindergarten Registration
Martins Ferry City School District will hold the annual kindergarten registration for the 2025-26 school year at the administration building. 
Registration is by appointment ONLY.

Parents, please call Carol Burda at 740-633-1732 ext. 3 to make an appointment on the following dates/times:

Tuesday, March 4, 2025  8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Wednesday, March 12, 2025  1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
 Monday, March 17, 2025 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.  
 Thursday, March 27, 2025 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. 
 Thursday, April 3, 2025 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.  
 Monday, April 14, 2025 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.  
Wednesday, April 23, 2025  1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. 


Children must be 5 years of age on or before August 1, 2025 to be eligible for kindergarten. 

Parents must provide the following information:

1.  Child's official birth certificate
2.  Custody papers in case of a divorce or legal separation
3.  Parent's photo ID (driver's license)
4.  Proof of residency (utility bill, rent receipt, etc.)
5.  Child's immunization records

REGISTRATION CANNOT BE COMPLETED WITHOUT THIS INFORMATION.

CHILDREN DO NOT NEED TO BE PRESENT FOR REGISTRATION.

Kindergarten screening information will be provided at a later date. Anyone unable to attend on the above dates and times should call Carol at 740-633-1732, ext. 3 to make other arrangements or ask questions.

NOTE: If school is delayed or canceled on any of the above dates, registration will be canceled on that date.


Grades 1-12 Registration
To register a student, please call Carol Burda at 40-633-1732 ext.3 and make an appointment. 

Parents must make copies of the following information and bring it to the registration appointment.
1.  Child's birth certificate
2.  Parent's custody papers in case of a divorce or legal separation
3.  Parent's photo I.D. (driver's license)
4.  Parent's proof of residency (utility bill, rent receipt)
5. Previous school information (address, phone, fax)
